About Me...

 My name is Gemma Taggart and I moved to the Gold Coast from England in August 2010.

I love fashion. Always have, always will :)

I have known since my early teens when i asked for a sewing machine for Christmas that i wanted to work in fashion, so that's where it all started.

I was awarded a BTEC National Diploma with the triple grade Distinction Distinction Distinction in July 2010, completing units such as photography, garment construction, drawing, fashion illustration, pattern making and construction, art history, textiles, visual recordings, ideas and concepts, fashion media and technology, CAD/CAM for the fashion industry and fashion marketing.

During my time at college, I also received:

An ABC Level 3 Award in Communication Drawing

A City & Guilds Level 2 Key Skills in Communication

A City & Guilds Level 2 Key Skills in Information Technology

An ABC award in Street Photography

I graduated from The Australian College of Professional Styling in April 2011 and awarded a Diploma in Professional Styling. Completed a course of studies in both the theory and practise of Professional Styling in the areas of Photo, Film, TV and Personal Styling.

In my spare time i try to involve myself in as many events as possible. This means over time i have completed various fashion styling, photography, fashion illustration, design, hair and make-up courses.

I attended the Australian Institute of Creative Design in 2011 where I completed a course in both fashion styling and hair styling

I also have a Certificate II in Retail

I love to be creative ... I love vintage ... I love photography too ... and art ... and sewing ... and hard rock music ... and skulls ...

My aim is to be a stylist for photo shoots and events.

I'm still young, but this doesn't mean i can't do the job! I'm a incredibly motivated individual with a lot of energy, dedication and knowledge of this industry.
